Search the contents of Una Voce
 

Keyword search

A straight "keyword" search of the Index (e.g., a place name) will only look for and display instances of that word (or part of that word) that appear in any of the Author, Title or Comment columns. The search is not case sensitive.


Classification Search

The Una Voce Index was originally developed several years ago to aid the Editorial staff in locating items previously published in the Association's magazine. To facilitate the search a Primary (Category) and Secondary (Topic) classification system was developed. Following the digitisation of the Una Voce archives the Una Voce Index has been further developed as an interactive web based search facility as a service to Members.

The Primary or Category Classification is based on the type of material published and conforms to the "divisions" within Una Voce (note here that the "Vales" have a separate Index). There are 20 Primary Classifications:

Refining the search facility further is a Topic Classification which groups relevant items under a pre-defined topic. At last count there were 54 topics, as follows:
