Went to NG in 1934 in Health and saw service in Middle East and ANGAU as a Captain. Post-war was in DDA in Lae and Port Moresby, retiring as Lands Titles Commissioner 1968. Honoured
by RSL as a Life Member. Leaves wife Yoshimi and 3 children.

Joined Police in Port Moresby 1948. Superintendent Hagen 1966, Lae 1968, retiring as Chief Licensing Inspector 1971. Survived by wife Amy and three children.

Went to Territory 1946 as Radio Engineer in DCA. Retired early fifties to Adelaide to open a manufacturer's agency.
R S (Mick) EAKIN (12 April 1986)
Was one of the first post-war DCA officers in Port Moresby. Resigning in late 50s, he opened the
garage at the Konedobu end of Lawes Road. Survived by wife Betty, also ex-DCA, now in Cairns.
James Irwin (Jim) CROMIE (30 April 1986)
Very well known pre- and post-war Solicitor in Rabaul and Port Moresby. Captain in NGVR and ANGAU. Later director of many companies, including Chairman of South Pacific Brewery. He leaves a widow, Delphine.
Peter WILLIAMS (27 May 1986, aged 33)
The younger son of Les and Margarette, Les was formerly DC Madang and was Secretary of this Association for 6 years.
R T (Ron) NEVILLE (31 May 1986, aged 56)
Killed in car accident near Mt Hagen. Went to PNG 1948 in DDA and resigned as ADO Mendi in 1964 to go into business and politics. Was elected to the first three Parliaments from 1964 to Independence, the only Australian to achieve this. Renowned for their hospitality and hard work, the Nevilles built a thriving business which supplied much of the infrastructure for Southern Highlands development.
